Sometimes I spot a great artist on Bandcamp, who has existed totally unbeknownst to me so far - only to find out that he/she has just one or two albums out yet... what a pity... but not so in this case. Danny Perez aka Danny Playamaqui can look back on a fat back-catalog already. So even after purchasing three albums, there's still a lot to explore here! Take a listen - it's quite weird and unusual avantronic stuff you won't find every day.

It's always interesting seeing qualchan. splitting pieces up with more noisier, abrasive artists on his albums whenever he does. There's a nice contrast to be found between the more sporadic, experimental loops on the first half when you get to pair with a more cohesive force, like watching a thick darkness melt over onto a perfectly sculpted statue and create something oddly captivating. Fans of either experimental, industrial loop work and psychedelic tape manipulations will like this one.
